A separation was made between the organic and inorganic program committees.

2001 International Conference on the Science and Technology of Emissive Displays and Lighting.
The conference changed its title, adding emissive displays and lighting.
2002, Ghent, Belgium, September 23-26
11th International Workshop on Inorganic and Organic Electroluminescence & 2002 International Conference on the Science and Technology of Emissive Displays and Lighting, EL2002.
From this time onward, the two conferences were organized together.
Three program committees were defined (Organic, Inorganic, and Emissive Displays and Lighting), and remained such ever since.
